Starving Artists. Eating Brie. ECHO CHAMBER follows thirty-something couple Jack and Aviva, encountering the everyday pangs of being a creative person in the inner-city where everyone else is also a creative person in the inner-city. A former actor, Jack is pursuing a life as a filmmaker and fancies himself as the next Darren Aronofsky. A glass-half-full personality, his optimism is a constant source of frustration for girlfriend Aviva, who sees the reality of trying to sustain a life in the arts with more skepticism. Aviva is a writer, working on her first novel (a feminist reimagining of Australia’s bushranger mythology, to be accurate). ECHO CHAMBER explores the hypocrisies of the everyday, and what it's like to be self-righteous in public while being wracked with neuroses in private.
